Floorspace v3

Overview

Vacation-rental brands need beautiful direct-booking websites, but building one from scratch for every client does not scale. Floorspace set out to productize the whole thing: one theme, one plugin, and a WordPress multisite network with WP Ultimo handling site provisioning and subscriptions, so a new branded site can spin up in minutes. I worked alongside another developer to build v3 from the ground up. My contributions spanned the theme and companion plugin. The theme runs on Roots Sage 10 with Acorn (Laravel inside WordPress), with hand-crafted Blade templates, Tailwind CSS v4 wired to Customizer variables for live restyling, and lightweight Alpine.js per block. I designed and coded seven Gutenberg blocks: Banner, Featured Listings, Featured Reviews, Featured Blog Posts, Image and Text, FAQ, and Contact Form, plus dedicated blog templates. On the data side, I built the property post type, REST API, Guesty and Uplisting booking-engine integrations, a manual booking engine, a merged reviews service, and a self-hosted update server. The platform now powers brands like [Vegas Luxuries](https://vegasluxuries.com/), [East Coast Retreat](https://staywitheastcoastretreat.com/) (Perfect Stays), [Franklin Stays](https://franklintnstays.com/), and [Arrivls](https://arrivls.com/), and my migration tooling moved the legacy v2 sites over without data loss, remapping ACF data and sideloading hundreds of media files per site. The engagement is complete; the platform runs day to day without me.
