Overview

Overland Farrier Supply has served Central Oregon's farriers, blacksmiths, and horse owners since 1973, and their first real e-commerce presence had to carry that heritage. The brand rules were strict: verbatim approved copy and trade-accurate photography, nothing generic. As the sole developer working from the approved Figma design, I hand-built roughly 18 custom Liquid sections on top of Shopify's Dawn theme, spanning the homepage, About, and product pages. The frontend is all hand-written: CSS on a custom-property token system with no utility framework, and vanilla JavaScript for the drawer navigation, marquee announcement bar, testimonial carousel, and FAQ accordion. Nothing got marked done without proof: every section was checked against its Figma frame at desktop and 375px mobile before sign-off, followed by a dedicated mobile refinement pass and a site speed pass across imagery and theme assets.
